Gone Daddy Gone
As some of you know, and the rest of you will find out as you read this sentence, I left Los Angeles a few weeks ago to move to New York City to begin a job writing for the Colbert Television Programme (Working Title).
I have left behind a lot of wonderful people, not the least of which is the improv group I have been performing with for the past three years, Trophy Wife. It was my weekly pleasure to do the Funny Make-Em-Ups with these talented folks, and the fact that I no longer get to rips at my soul like a rabid hyena tearing away at the flesh of an unprotected newborn human.
But to say goodbye, the good folks at Trophy Wife (namely, tech/design/director/photographer/improv genius Kevin McShane) put together a little video tribute, which I share to you now. I warn you, at the end I am asked to say some words, and the words i say are “Blarghhh…. (fight tear) blarrghhhh).” It was an emotional moment.

Opus I can only imagine how hard it is to leave behind your L.A. life, but welcome back to the east coast, bitch! And you are so friggin lucky to work at Colbert, he is my hero. And the next time I’m in NYC we should grab an adult beverage or two together.

Opus! Always playing hard, working hard, doing his best! See where it gets you.
The line between jealousy and envy I’m discovering, is quite thin.
Seriously, congrats!!!
